“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And when you pass through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you.”
Isaiah 43:2-3
The promises found in the scripture above are so profound. Essentially, regardless of our circumstances God will not allow us to be destroyed! That is good news!
However, for me, even more profound is use of the word through in Isaiah 43:2-3.
When we pass THROUGH the waters…
And THROUGH the rivers…
And THROUGH the fire…
As a preposition, the word through means, “moving in one side and out of the other side.” Going through something requires a beginning and an end. Going through something requires movement.
Experiencing the THROUGH means that you will come out the other side! There will be an end to your challenge. You will see victory! God does not leave us in the water, the river or the fire. He brings us THROUGH.
