I have 3 boys. This means I deal with a lot of stains—stains on clothes, stains on carpet, stains on walls, stains in the car, stains on the counter top, stains are everywhere! I’ve actually come to accept stains as a part of life. I have a few good stain removers and do the best job I can to remove them.

I was driving the other day right after it had snowed. The ground and the trees were so beautiful. Everything was pristine and a crisp white. I was struck by the stark contrast between the snow and the numerous stains I had tried to remove just that morning. The stains were dark, ugly and an unwanted nuisance. The snow was bright, clean and a welcomed picture of renewal.

Isaiah 1:18
“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.

Sometimes I just need a visual reminder of what Jesus has provided for us in the forgiving of our sins. We were all stain covered, and he makes us white as snow. The next time it snows, I encourage you to thank Jesus for making you as clean and beautiful as the freshly fallen snow.
