We’ve made it to the last few phrases! Here we go!

Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,
Let all within us praise his holy name.
Christ is the Lord; O praise his name forever!
His power and glory evermore proclaim,
His power and glory evermore proclaim.

Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we. Let all within us praise his holy name.
The only response to the gift of Jesus is the giving of self. As humans, we are incapable of giving anything back to Jesus that would equal his gift to us. He doesn’t ask for ANYTHING, he asks for our HEART. Jesus asks us to praise him with our whole self – this means our heart, our mind, our bodies, through our work, in our relationships, etc. Everything we do should be an act of worship to God. God asks us to live lives filled with joy and gratefully thank him for the gift of Jesus.

Christ is the Lord; O praise his name forever! His power and glory evermore proclaim. His power and glory evermore proclaim.
Jesus isn’t A God. Jesus is THE ONLY God. He is the promised Messiah, the one for which we’ve all been waiting. Christ is the ultimate one who holds all power, authority, influence and rule. He is Lord! Because he is Lord, he is worthy of our praise. Angels rejoiced as his birth, we rejoice here on earth and we will join the great cloud of witnesses and all celestial beings in praising God forever in heaven!

It is easy or hard for you to worship the Lord? In what ways is God asking you to deepen your worship of him? How might you lead a more worship lifestyle?
