I  grew up in the Kalamazoo area and got my Music Business degree from Western Michigan University. (Go Broncos!) I was working as the financial manager of an orchestra and had the radio on one day. They were doing a contest and I won!! When people heard me win the contest, they told me I should be on the radio. No, really. That’s how it happened! Within a year I was working for a Christian radio station in Columbus, Ohio. (no, I did NOT become a Buckeye even though I lived there for 10 years) From the first time I was on the air, I decided I wanted to bring light and laughter to anyone who happened to hear my voice. Hopefully through these 20+ years now, I have. We have so much to be thankful for and I believe spreading JOY and HOPE is my purpose. I love worship music. I sing on the worship team at Ridge Point Church in Holland and it’s such a privilege. I seek to draw people closer to Him through that…I know I feel closer when I do!

They say if you love what you do, you never work a day in your life, which is pretty much how it feels having worked right here at this station for over 22 years! I’ve been married to my husband Dave for 20 of those years and we have four amazing kids, although some of the parenting years I’d consider work:) It’s so fun to see them grow into who God has created them to be. Life is interesting when you realize His work in you is never done, there is always growing and refining to do and I look forward to doing that with you! When I’m not in the studio I’m dreaming up my next home improvement project or taking a nap.

My wife, Patty and I have been married since 1992. We have 4 children, Casey, Tommy, Sammy, and Eliza.  West Michigan has been my home all of my life (outside of a stint in Chicago for college). My wife and I committed our lives to Jesus together in 1992 when we were in pre-marital counseling. That decision has been the greatest decision of my life.

I’ve worked in radio since 1991.  I began my career in mainstream radio. I felt God call me into Christian Radio in 1995 for 12 years. Then, in 2007, God opened a door to take His message of hope and encouragement back into mainstream radio for another 9 ½ years.  In 2017, God made it very clear that He was again calling me back into Christian radio. In 2018, I once again joined the team here!

I am an avid runner, having completed 4 marathons, numerous half marathons, 10k’s and 5k’s.  I have made some of my best friends through the running community.  One reason is that we all come together for one simple cause: to conquer a goal.  Amazing things happen when you are with like-minded people focused on a goal!
