I love the month of November because it gives us intentional space to slow down and express our gratitude in light of Thanksgiving.

Ephesians 5:20,
“Giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,”

Very simply, gratitude is telling the Lord that his provision is enough. Wow. On the flip side, when we are ungrateful, we are telling the Lord that he hasn’t provided enough. I surely don’t want to tell the creator of the universe that what he has given me is not sufficient!

Gratitude wards off depression and anxiety. Gratitude makes a half empty glass become half full. Gratitude loves what is before you instead of longing for what is not.

I hope that every year I become a more grateful being, not just at Thanksgiving time but all year. How about you?
