The baby is now mobile, which means we have baby gates up everywhere!
What is the purpose of a gate? The purpose of a gate is to set a boundary for the sake of safety or privacy. Gates keep what is wanted INSIDE and what is unwanted OUTSIDE.
I was thinking about how God has set up boundaries and guidelines for his people. The reason he has created these guidelines is because of his love for us! God knows what is best for his kids!
“For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess. Deuteronomy 30:16
Sometimes it may feel like a drag that God has set up boundaries and guidelines for us, but can you imagine if he didn’t? We’d be like little children getting into everything and putting ourselves in harms way!
Is there a boundary you’ve been pressing lately that you need to surrender to God? Please stop and thank God that he loves us so much he gives us gates and fences that protect us!
